Transportation

 

             The Support Center, Inc. owns and operates six vans of which three are equipped with wheelchair lift. The vans are primarily used to transport our participants to and from the center. The vans are also utilized for regularly scheduled field trips. All drivers have cell phones to handle any emergency or problem that may occur in transit. The vans have books that contain the address, phone number, and directions for all participants who attend the center.

             Our drivers are professionals who are certified in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), First Aid and Driver Safety. The drivers complete a daily check on the vans and report any maintenance problems to the Transportation Supervisor. The Transportation Supervisor will manage all necessary maintenance issues. Transportation schedules and issues are evaluated daily by the supervisor for any changes needed. Transportation services are evaluated yearly by the center survey which is sent to the participants and their caregivers.
