Medical Adult Day Services

Activity

 

                 The Support Center maintains both English and Spanish program. First Spanish program created in the State of Maryland. The participants have multiple choices of programs in each day. Small group activities are encouraged. Participants may also choose to create their own activity at any time.

 

Programs include, but are not limited to the following:

 

Language Classes:

            

* English participant learning Spanish

 

* Anyone learning French

 

* Spanish participant learning English

 

* Anyone learning Sign language

 

 

Multiple Clubs:

 

* Men’s Group

 

* Women’s Group

 

* Baking Group

 

* Reading Group

 

* Knitting Group

 

 

Music Therapy

 

* Piano classes

 

* Kazoo Band classes

 

* Sign Along

 

* Monthly dance parties

 

* Professional outside groups providing Entertainment

 

 

Arts and Crafts (multiple levels of complexity)

Movie Day

 

             When weather permits, there are outings to

restaurants, parks, libraries, museums, concerts,

farmers markets, and many other places.

 

             Upon arrival at the center, the participants

are served a continental style breakfast. There is a

nutritional well-balanced lunch provided at the center.  

            

             The lunch menu is approved by a Licensed Certified

Dietician. Participants may chose to bring their own

lunch if they so desire. A late afternoon snack is also

offered.
